Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Centre organized a session for students to attend India’s first leadership talk series moderated by Dr. Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, Ministry of Education and delivered by Chairman of AICTE Prof. T. G. Sitharam on 30th January, 2023.
Prof. T. G. Sitharam shared his experiences at IISc, Bengaluru and IIT, Guwahati while doing his research work, consultancies and guiding students. He stressed on how the AICTE framework can initiate changes at institutional level on a wider scale throughout the nation.
He shared his views about research and innovation which faces the major challenge of critical thinking, financial support and global exposure. In view of the fierce competition in today’s world, he gave the stress management mantra to “Enjoy what you do” and suggested to meditate as a relaxation practice.
He also said that to be a great leader, perseverance is the key quality needed in young individuals. He finally concluded by citing the need for greater development in the rural settings so that change can initiate from local levels.
The moderator Dr. Abhay appreciated Prof. Sitharam’s vision to take AICTE and its policies forward and finally concluded the session. The students found the session to be insightful, perceptive, incisive and expressive.
