Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Centre celebrated National Education Day on 11th November, 2022 in honor of the country’s first Education Minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
In the spirit of inclusive education the session was held with a mixed batch of school and college students. In line with the 2022 theme of “Changing the course and transforming education”, an inspiring talk was conducted by Dr. Umesh Dutta, Director, MRIIC.
He started with the features of the new education policy and how it enshrines the spirit of the Maulana’s efforts to make India realise the importance of education and provide it as a basic right to every citizen.
He also elaborated on how education can only partly build a career. To achieve success, students must have single minded devotion to their goal. Having the right educationist can help build the capacity of spirit of inquiry, creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and leadership.
He quoted the Maulana by saying that “education by heart can bring a revolution in the society.” The students were then taken on a tour of the Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation centre and were showcased various projects which allowed them to relate with how education helps transform
everyday objects into innovative ideas which can solve real world problems.
