Code Club and CoderDojo

Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Centre will be coordinating the activities under these initiatives which are run successfully across the globe by Raspberry Pi Foundation (a registered UK charity). The aim of these programs is to build coding talent in the community by conducting regular training programs on coding. These are free of cost initiatives and are focused on any individual in the community who has the passion to learn about coding.

Code Club believes all children should have the opportunity to learn to code, no matter who they are or where they come from. They work with a global community of volunteers, educators, and partners to run free coding clubs where 9- to 13-year-olds can learn to build and share their ideas. Their mission is to put a Code Club in every community in the world. They believe in learning through making, and their coding projects offer young people opportunities to be creative and to share their creations with each other.

CoderDojo is a true global movement and phenomenon. Volunteers all around the world help young people build a positive future through coding and community. The CoderDojo movement believes that an understanding of programming languages is increasingly important in the modern world, that it’s both better and easier to learn these skills early, and that nobody should be denied the opportunity to do so. Anyone aged 7 to 17 can visit a Dojo where they can learn to code, build a website, create an app or a game, and explore technology in an informal, creative, and social environment. The initiative is 10 years old and now has a community of 2394 free, open and local programming clubs for young people.
